"The Life of a Man" from series "Coexistence" is cylindrical hologram pieces, which fabricated by using a 360-degree cylindrical hologram.
Unlike any flat-holograms, three-dimensional object can be observed in 360 degree Omni directionally.
In order to overcome the limits of observing objects from the flat-hologram, unlike others, I have managed to produce cylindrical holograms through engineering studies.
Utilized cylindrical hologram especially in terms of the "visible and invisible world of' coexistence"
I eat an apple every morning on a small dish. After done with an apple, there is nothing left on a plate. However, I have felt that there is an invisible apple on a plate due to daily habit of having an apple on that same plate. An idea of having invisible apple was a starting point. That apple is representing the sprits and infinite loop. Hence "The Green Apple on Small Plate (2011)" shows an apple on a plate, which cannot be touched nor eat. It represents illusions and emptiness in our lives and how we "coexistence" with those.
July 2012 'The Green Apple on Small plate " was selected and recognized for the most creative art and engineering during exhibition at the MIT Museum, Boston (USA).
